A Solution Focused Personal Development session is a goal-oriented approach to personal growth. It involves setting clear goals, identifying strengths, visualising success, creating action plans, and reflecting on progress. Encouraging accountability partnerships and celebrating milestones can enhance motivation. Providing opportunities for continuous learning and feedback fosters growth. Evaluating and adapting the plan based on evolving needs ensures effectiveness. This tailored session empowers individuals to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and embark on a fulfilling personal development journey.

Here at Freeminded Personal Development in Balham, I use hypnotherapy to relax the conscious mind and then give the subconscious mind helpful suggestions. When under hypnosis, you put your mind and body into a heightened state of learning, making you more susceptible to suggestions for self-improvement or behaviour change. The goal is to put the subconscious and conscious minds in synchronicity, which in turn helps give you greater control over your behaviour and emotions.

The treatment will consist of me speaking to you about yourself and your past experiences. During this time, I will use the information you give me to form a treatment plan that will help you with your issue. We will then begin the 'therapy' part, in which you will sit in a comfortable chair and be asked to relax. You may be asked to recall previous events or feelings related to them, and then we allow your own brain to make its own changes. You will always be in complete control and never do anything that you don't want to do. Afterwards, you will be able to go about your day as usual.

Hypnotherapy accesses the unconscious mind and uses the power of suggestion to facilitate positive change. These suggestions can be tailored to help improve confidence levels. Generally, these suggestions will be positive and made in the present tense. For example, the phrase "you feel confident in everything you do" would be used rather than "you no longer doubt yourself." The theory behind this is that the unconscious can't differentiate between "you have" and "you no longer have."

Hypnotherapy for anxiety aims to find the root cause of the problem and change your relationship with anxiety. Hypnotherapy helps anxiety by boosting feelings of confidence and self-belief.  It can help you develop the ability to access the calm state of mind needed to overcome the often-overwhelming emotions that come with anxiety. Using the power of suggestion, hypnosis aims to access your subconscious mind and promote positive change. The suggestions themselves can be tailored to help you learn what triggers your anxiety and why, as well as how to change the way you react to it.

As each case is different from the last, I work towards getting the maximum benefit from each session, be it from a Solution Focused Personal Development or a Hypnotherapy session which helps determine how many sessions will be needed thereafter. Some issues can be resolved relatively easily; others require more time.
